We were so tired of the blah white and beige guest bathroom. We found this really cool shower curtain at JC Penney and went with it. We think the color turned out great. This new decor is much more fitting for a kids bathroom.

Follow-Up Ultrasound
Today I had a follow-up ultrasound with the high-risk OB to see if the insertion site of the umbilical cord into the placenta has moved up on my uterus. Fortunately, everything looks good and has pretty much resolved itself; therefore, I will only need to see my regular OB from now on. So that was great news!! Before the doctor came into the room, the ultrasound tech was able to use the 3D scan and get a few good pictures of her face. I can't believe the technology these days, it's amazing. Right now I am about 27 wks pregnant and she approximately weighs 2 lbs 4 oz. I was trying to do the math....I'm guessing she'll be about 8 to 9 pounds when she's born, about the same as Chad.

Fun @ the Children's Museum
On Tuesday, John and I took Chad to the Children's Museum. Chad and I went there a couple months ago with my family but this time John was able to go. Although I wasn't too impressed with the new Lego Castle exhibit, Chad had plenty of fun with all the other activities.

Recent Updates
Yeah I know...it's been awhile since I've updated my blog. Between doctor appointments, required classes for work, and daily life; I've just been too busy to sit down at the computer. So here's some recent updates:
1. When John and I learned we are going to have a baby girl, we also found out that baby's cord was inserted very close to my cervix; therefore I had to have another ultrasound with a high risk OB a week later. The second ultrasound revealed the same results: healthy baby girl, but low insertion site of the cord. There is a possibility that the insertion site will grow up as my uterus grows; however, if it stays the same there could be an increased risk that baby would not be able to tolerate labor and a c-section would be needed. I go back to the Maternal Fetal Medicine doc later this month to see if anything has changed. After being in labor for about 20 hrs and pushing for 1 1/2 hours, I really don't want a c-section but we'll see how it all turns out. I had a normal OB appt on Wednesday and everything looks good!! The little stinker is still head up so I guess I will have to start crawling around the house or trying to stand on my head so she'll turn over..hehe!
2. We already ordered and received the baby bedding for a little girl's room. Since Chad still sleeps in the crib in the "nursery" we probably won't start painting and decorating until another month or so. It's amazing the difference between being pregnant with the first vs. the second. I am just not as concerned about getting everything done in a hurry like I was the first time around.
3. The only good thing about having to take all these extra classes for my job is that Chad has been able to play with his cousins. We are so fortunate to have a sister-in-law who agrees to watch Chad, sometimes all day 8a-5pm, in addition to her own 1 and 3 year old. Thank you so much Mandy, we really appreciate it!!
4. Lastly, we enrolled Chad in preschool/daycare at Fishers United Methodist Church that will begin in the fall. I'm not sure if it's just a phase or what but he is definitely a momma's boy. John can't even get him out of his carseat and carry him inside where ever we're going without him throwing a fit. I know having a little sister will be quite an adjustment for Chad but we're hoping that by him going to "school" once a week for 4 hours will help a little:)
