Halloween 2010

INTRODUCING...
Princess Kylee
and Spiderman Chad

Attemping to flex his muscles
Despite the scowl look, Kylee had a great time
trick-or-treating. One of our friends/neighbors even gave
the kiddos a special toy. Kylee holding her dolly.
How precious!!! (or maybe partners in crime)
The "Spidermen" meet at last...good Spidey
Chad vs. Evil Spidey Jacob!!

Trip to Brown County State Park

Hiking through the trails was fun at the start, hence all the happy smiles.
Unfortunately we picked the longest trail so from about the halfway point
on, John and I rotated carrying different kids. Which wasn't really fair
because Chad is a Mama's boy but is much heavier :/

If only they would look AT the camera!!
Where we spent the night

Visited the Nature Center
Chad loved looking at the rattlesnake there
Went to Nashville for lunch & shopping. Kids worn out but
still made time for the candy store and fudge. Overall, a
successful trip! Hope to do it again next year!

Chad's 1st Day of Preschool

Chad's first day of preschool was last Thursday. He goes every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:15-11:30am. Compared to last year, Chad did amazing! He didn't whine or cry or anything...just walked into his class room like a big boy. We're so proud of him and can't wait to see how much he learns and grows throughout this school year!!

Such a chatterbox...trying to talk while being photographed
Standing out front of the school
Kylee won't keep bows or headbands in her hair very long but
it's soooo cute when she does!!

It's a rare event...gettting them to sit together for a photo. And I thought
Chad was the mischievious one. Kylee looks like..."hmmm, what can
I get into next?"

Indiana State Fair

We had a great time at the Fair this year. It was the first time to ride a train for both my Mom and Kylee. The animals and exhibits were nice but the food was the best part! Afterall, the giant corndogs and delicious elephant ears are why people go to the Fair anyways right?!? Chad was a little disappointed that the fishing station wasn't open and we also found out he still hates sheep. Last year at the fair, one sheep came right up to him and went "BAAAAAAHHH" which totally traumatized him! Kylee loved all the animals but I think she enjoyed the rabbits the most, probably because they are soft and furry.

Riding the train
If we could only get the children to look at the camera...
John always manages to find time to golf...lol!

Feeding the goats
That just spells T-R-O-U-B-L-E!
Kylee had so much fun she wore herself out:)

Birthday Highlights!!

Sorry I haven't posted for awhile. We've been enjoying our busy summer!! Here are some pics of Kylee's 1st birthday party. She had a great time digging into her cake and playing with all her new toys, despite having an ear infection and runny nose:(

Happy 1st Birthday Kylee!!!

I can't believe it has already been one year since John raced me to the hospital while I was screaming in pain in the backseat just hoping we would make it there in time. Although everything was a little crazy and chaotic (no meds, only one triage room available, delivered in my regular clothes within 11 minutes), Kylee is completely and totally worth it!! She is a very smiley, happy girl and always has a way of making us laugh. She isn't walking yet but finds a way to get into everything now. She loves being outside and playing with baby dolls and blocks. We think Kylee is going to be quite the talker...she already can say a lot of words and she imitates whatever her big brother does (which isn't always a good thing). Since Chad is into Star Wars, Iron Man, and pretending to "shoot" things, now Kylee puts her finger and hand up in the air and says "pchoo pchoo" to shoot things too. Lovely...just what I wanted my little girl to do! Oh well. Happy birthday Kylee!! We love you very much!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Chad!!!

We can't believe our little boy is 3 years old!! Chad is a full of life, full of energy kind of kid! He goes from one activity to the next never sitting still for more than about 10 minutes. He LOVES being outside; can't get enough icecream or popcorn; and does a great rendition of "Pants On the Ground" (from American Idol auditions).

Here's a look back in time...
